1. Different process principles

Ordinary stainless steel pipe:

Adopting conventional annealing process, which involves heating to a certain temperature in an unprotected gas environment and then slowly cooling. During this process, the surface of the steel pipe is prone to react with oxygen in the air to form oxide scale, which needs to be removed by acid washing, resulting in low surface glossiness and possible residual acid solution affecting corrosion resistance.


Bright annealed tube:

Annealing is carried out under the protection of reducing gases such as hydrogen, nitrogen, or ammonia decomposition gas to avoid metal oxidation. By controlling the atmosphere and temperature inside the furnace (usually 1050-1150 ℃), the steel pipe can maintain a bright surface while eliminating internal stress, without the need for acid washing, making the production process more environmentally friendly and efficient.


2. Surface quality and smoothness

Ordinary stainless steel pipe:

The surface appears grayish white or dull due to oxidation and acid washing treatment, with low smoothness and easy adsorption of impurities, making cleaning difficult.


Bright annealed tube:

The surface is as shiny as a mirror, with low roughness, which can directly meet the high cleanliness requirements. Its smooth surface reduces the risk of bacterial growth and pollutant attachment, making it particularly suitable for industries with strict hygiene requirements such as food and medicine.



3. Mechanical performance optimization

Ordinary stainless steel pipe:

Although annealing can relieve some stress, the microstructure may be uneven, with limited toughness and ductility, and it is prone to deformation or cracking during processing.


Bright annealed tube:

By precise temperature control, atoms are rearranged, work hardening is eliminated, and material uniformity is improved. The toughness, ductility, and fatigue strength of steel pipes are significantly enhanced, making them more suitable for complex forming processes such as bending and expanding.


4. Differences in corrosion resistance

Ordinary stainless steel pipe:

The pickling process may damage the surface passivation film, leading to local chromium depletion and reduced corrosion resistance, especially in chloride ion environments where pitting corrosion is prone to occur.


Bright annealed tube:

The protective gas avoids oxidation reactions, retains a complete passivation film, and reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion with a uniform metallographic structure. Its corrosion resistance is better than that of ordinary pipes, and it can adapt to harsh environments such as chemical and marine industries.

Ordinary stainless steel pipe:

Suitable for scenarios with low requirements for surface smoothness and corrosion resistance, such as building structures, general fluid transportation, etc.
